HP provides its Print and Scan Doctor utility. Choose Find and Fix Printing Problems, and then follow the prompts of the wizard. Windows 10: Tap Cortina, and then enter fix printing in the Search My Stuff field.

For the record - yes I've restarted, yes, i'm up to date, file prints clearly from Mac. When printed in grayscale the text is crystal clear.

Apparently there were some OLE display issues in the past during plotting, so Autodesk added a change to this pack.After comparing our PDF's now to then, it looks as though AutoCAD 2009 was plotting the OLE objects as an image (a blurry one, at that) instead of using the TrueType Fonts that it (seems) should use.Both our pdf's and prints now look sharp again, but unfortunately, the only way to get this if the update was already installed is to uninstall the entire AutoCAD 2009 suite and reinstall it, making sure not to add on the Update 3 for Civil 3D. We're running AC2009 with Civil 3D and Raster Design, so naturally, we updated these products with all of the service packs available at the date of our install.It seems, after much research and testing, that the problem was caused entirely by installing AutoCAD Civil 3D 2009 Update 3 to our system. Maybe this could be the reason that the text is looking different?We've also made sure that OLESTARTUP = 1 (loads ole source application when plotting), OLEQUALITY = 2 (high graphics), and that 'Use OLE application when plotting OLE objects' is checked in the Options -> Plot and Publish tab.If anyone has any ideas, or has ran into this problem, please share your comments!
